Abstract

‘Michelangelo: The Last Decades’ at the British Museum, London, seeks freshness in the monographic exhibition by emphasising the ‘humanity’ of the artist, particularly through the theme of ageing. This review considers the extent to which the exhibition succeeds in their curatorial approach, and why its moments of technological experimentation particularly miss the mark.
