CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: VOLUME 11 (SPRING 2022)

The UCL Journal of Law and Jurisprudence is a law journal run by students of the UCL Faculty of Laws. The Journal is available through open access. The Editorial Board is pleased to announce an EXTENDED call for submissions for publication in Spring 2022. The Board welcomes papers covering all areas of law and jurisprudence. All submissions are assessed through double blind peer review.

Successful submissions will provide an original contribution or insight into a legal field or propose an answer to a complex and/or yet unanswered legal question. We accept articles of between 8,000-12,000 words, case notes of 6,000-8,000 words, current affairs pieces of 2,000-4,000 words and book reviews of 1,000-2,000 words.  Contributions that have already been published or that are under consideration for publication in other journals will not be considered. All submissions must be appropriately referenced and comply with the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).

In addition, articles must be submitted in Microsoft Word format and include an abstract of approximately 150 words. Journal submissions are expected to meet the standards for publication at the time of submission. You can find more information about the expectations of journal submissions, including published articles from prior years, at: https://student-journals.ucl.ac.uk/laj/issues/.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, 31 January 2022.  Late submissions will not be considered.

Manuscripts must be uploaded via the submissions section on our website (https://student-journals.ucl.ac.uk/laj/submissions/). Users will be required to register on the UCLJLJ website prior to submitting an article.  We do not accept submissions via email.  Authors should submit an anonymous version of the manuscript, stripped of all identifying references to the author(s) for peer review.

For any further questions regarding the Journal, past issues or the submissions process, please refer to our website (https://student-journals.ucl.ac.uk/laj/).
